Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Launch, Specifications, Price & Release Date
After months of speculations, Samsung has just revealed their 4th generation of Galaxy Note at an eventful UNPACKED Episode 2 press conference at IFA 2014, Berlin. Moreover, Samsung surprised us all by unveiling bunch of brand new brilliant & innovative gadgets we have never seen before in the consumer market. These are-
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge: A revolutionary smartphone with curved edge showing extra info like notifications (Twitter, Facebook feeds), stocks, weather, app shortcuts, plus it can display a ruler as well!
Samsung Gear VR: Another spectacular wearable device based on Oculus Rift’s hardware and specifically developed for the Galaxy Note 4 that means, you can install the Galaxy Note 4 inside the gear and this will bring you an augmented reality display in front of your eyes. It’s like watching a 175” TV 2 meters away from the screen, unbelievable! Isn’t it?
Samsung Galaxy Gear S: After playing with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch design form-factor for the last few years, I think this is going to the stable version for few years ahead. A 2” curved rectangular display, heart-rate monitor, 1GHz dual-core CPU & 512MB RAM make it a perfect companion in your personal digital life.
Now the showstopper Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the prime attraction for the mainstream users and Samsung improved this phone is a couple of ways, mainly in the exterior hardware quality department. We just loved the real metal (gone are the days of fake metal chrome finish and faux lather stitching) bezel at the edges. The all new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 boasts a 5.7″ Quad HD Super AMOLED screen, 2.7GHz quad-core CPU, 16MP camera with Smart OIS (first on a Samsung Phone) and last but not the lease a new & improved S-Pen. Samsung surprisingly downgraded the USB connectivity to USB 2.0 from USB 3.0 on the Galaxy Note 3 and the new Note 4 isn’t water & dust resistant like the early 2014 Galaxy S5.
Let’s have a look at the detailed specification below-
- Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 (for the US version: SM-N910S) / Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 1.9GHz quad-core Cortex-A57 (for the global version: SM-N910C) processor, Adreno 420 (on SM-N910S) & Mali-T760 (on SM-N910C) GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage
- 5.7 inches Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution @ 515 ppi pixel density
- Android v4.4.4 (Kit Kat) OS with brilliant TouchWiz UX interface, new trans[aren’t widgets & multi-screen features.
- 16MP AF camera with 4K@30 fps/full HD @60 fps recording, highly improved 3.7MP front camera for better selfies, with full HD recording as well.
- Improved S-Pen stylus with double the pressure sensitivity of the previous S-Pen
- Huge 3220 mAh battery
